How clean does plastic film need to be before it goes in the bag?

A big part of the reason we can recycle as much plastic film from our members as we do is because they do such a phenomenal job of cleaning what they give us!

We ask that members please shake out or rinse plastic film items that have contained food, like cereal bags, bread bags, or used Ziploc bags, and make sure the items are fully dry before going into your plastic film bag to avoid any mold. If the plastic has come into contact with meat or any other substance that might leave residue, we also recommend using soap while washing it.
