What’s the difference between multi-layer plastic and plastic film?

Plastic film is the thin, stretchy plastic you find in bubble wrap, plastic shipping envelopes, and grocery bags. We like to use the "rule of thumb": if you can push your thumb through it easily, it’s plastic film. Plastic film is one of our core categories - we pick it up during every pickup!

Multi-layer plastic is crinkly, thick packaging that often contains food like chips, nuts, rice, candy, or pet treats.  Multi-layer plastic is a featured category. You can check your member dashboard or your Ridwell mobile app to see if it's being picked up in your neighborhood soon!
